Why Education?

        Sava Bridge was founded to address a simple but persistent gap: access to opportunity is not evenly distributed. Growing up connected to both the United States and Serbia, I saw firsthand how much access to strong institutions, early exposure, and supportive environments can shape what students are able to pursue.

      As a student at The Hotchkiss School, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a high level of education—one defined not just by resources, but by access to mentorship, advanced coursework, and a community that encourages exploration and ambition. At the same time, I’ve remained closely connected to Serbia, where many students with equal potential lack access to the same opportunities.

       Sava Bridge was created to connect these two realities. We aim to do this by partnering with underfunded, high-impact nonprofit organizations focused on education, directing support toward programs that are already making a meaningful difference. Rather than building new initiatives, the goal is to strengthen and expand access to those that exist.

         Our focus begins in Serbia, with the intention of supporting students who would otherwise lack access to advanced educational experiences, while continuing to look beyond—partnering with organizations globally that share this mission.

At its core, Sava Bridge is built on a simple belief: talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Our goal is to help close that gap.
